What a sweet, inclusive, and feels like home kind of space. As a St. Paul resident myself, I stumbled upon this coffee shop when looking for a new place to explore. As soon as you walk in, you can tell that this place has been crafted with humanness and care. From the small yellowbird collectibles scattered throughout the store (at the checkout counter, on the shelf, atop the espresso machine) to the flyers and pamphlets that decorate the wall sharing the latest news, community efforts, and other local business in the area - this coffee bar was made for the community by the community.

It was a true pleasure to work with John, the store’s owner and all the other staff and volunteers that work collaboratively everyday to open, run, and repeat this special community gathering spot every day. If you haven’t yet visited Yellow Bird Coffee Bar in St. Paul, you definitely should!
